Stephanie Plum (Katherine Heigl) is freshly divorced and unemployed 30 year old girl, she lives with her hamster in Trenton, NJ. Broken and desperate, she finds work at his cousin. In search of quick big profit she accepts the biggest case – to trace a local police officer wanted for murder, with whom he shares a romantic past, and who broke her heart in high school.
